Studio 100 and Gaumont to Explore Mowgli’s Early Years in New 'Jungle Book' Series

Studio 100 International and Gaumont Animation are teaming up with Josh Fisher (a.k.a. I Josh Around) to co-develop an exciting new animated series based on "The Jungle Book". Titled "Jungle Book: Cub Club Adventures" (working title), this fresh take on Rudyard Kipling’s classic will explore Mowgli’s early years, long before he turned 11 and became the jungle boy we all know. Aimed at children aged four to seven, this new series dives into Mowgli’s playful adventures with his young animal friends, focusing on a stage of his life that’s never been seen before.
Studio 100’s executive producer Richard Rowe described the show’s concept as the "clearest one-line pitch" they’ve ever heard, and with "The Jungle Book" being such a beloved story, they felt it was the perfect time to introduce a younger audience to Mowgli’s untold early years. Gaumont’s president of Global Animation, Terry Kalagian, echoed the excitement, saying the project combines the love of this iconic world with a fresh creative twist.
For Josh Fisher, the creator behind the concept, this project is a passion come to life. “I’ve loved "The Jungle Book" for as long as I can remember, and it’s been incredible collaborating with Studio 100 and Gaumont to bring this new vision to life,” Fisher shared.
Currently in early development, "Jungle Book: Cub Club Adventures" is set to be a CGI animated series featuring 52 episodes, each 11 minutes long. Studio 100 and Gaumont will be showcasing the project at MIPCOM, and they’re on the lookout for potential partners to join in on this exciting new journey through the jungle!
