Mattel Television Studios Unveils New Animated Video for 'Barney's World'

Mattel has just dropped a fresh animated video and updated lyrics for the iconic "I Love You" song as part of its upcoming series, *Barney's World*. The show, made up of 52 bite-sized episodes (each just 11 minutes long), is set to stream on Max starting October 14, with its official TV debut following on Cartoon Network on October 18. After that, it'll roll out across various platforms globally, including Cartoonito in EMEA and APAC regions, Discovery Kids in LATAM, and Treehouse in Canada. For those eager to catch it early, select episodes—including the first one—will be available on YouTube starting October 11 in select countries.

One of the big changes fans will notice? The revamped lyrics to the beloved song, now singing "I Love You, I Love Me Too," which aims to teach kids the importance of self-love along with love for others. Mattel is using *Barney's World* as a vehicle to help young viewers navigate the ups and downs of growing up, encouraging positive self-esteem along the way.

Josh Silverman, Mattel’s chief franchise officer, shared his excitement, saying, "Barney has always been about love, and we’re thrilled to bring him back for a new generation. Our hope is that this updated version of *Barney* leaves a lasting impression on young audiences, teaching them valuable life lessons as they grow up."

Warner Bros. Discovery’s Vanessa Brookman added, "We’re excited to team up with Mattel and reimagine Barney for today’s preschoolers. With this new series, we’re blending nostalgia with modern storytelling, ensuring that Barney remains a beloved figure for kids and families worldwide."

While *Barney’s World* is designed with preschoolers in mind, it’s sure to strike a chord with parents who grew up watching the purple dinosaur themselves. Now they get to experience the magic all over again—this time with their own kids.

The series is a co-production between Mattel Television Studios and Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, with an impressive lineup of executive producers, including Michelle Mendelovitz and Josh Silverman from Mattel, alongside Athena Georgaklis, Doug Murphy, Mellany Welsh, and Pam Westman from Nelvana. Get ready for the return of Barney—it’s going to be a heartwarming ride!
