"Digikore Studios Inks Branded Content Deal with Viacom18 for JioCinema"
Indian VFX powerhouse Digikore Studios has just signed a major deal with Reliance-owned media giant Viacom18, securing a contract to produce and host 58 episodes of branded content for JioCinema, Reliance's popular streaming platform. This deal is set to bring in Rs 30 crores in revenue by the end of FY25, helping Digikore reach its updated target of Rs 70 crores for the year.
What makes this deal even more exciting for Digikore is the fact that they will retain worldwide intellectual property (IP) rights for the shows in perpetuity. Beyond JioCinema, the content will be available on other OTT platforms globally, and will also feature on Digikore’s own YouTube channel and Binge Fever, giving them a chance to further monetize the content starting from FY26.
Founded in 2000 and based in Pune, Digikore Studios has built an impressive portfolio over the years, working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Disney, Marvel, Netflix, Amazon, and more. Their expertise has been showcased in blockbuster projects like ''Thor: Love and Thunder'' and the fan-favorite ''Stranger Things''.
On the other side, Viacom18 is a leading Indian media company known for its vast portfolio of over 30 channels covering a range of genres, including general entertainment, sports, music, and kids’ content. Some of its standout brands include Colors, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central.
This partnership marks a significant step for both Digikore Studios and Viacom18, promising exciting new content and further strengthening Digikore’s position in the global VFX industry.
