"Exciting Lineup at View Conference 2024: Discussions on 'Wild Robot,' 'Alien: Romulus,' and '3 Body Problem'"

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this October, View Conference is set to return to the breathtaking baroque city of Turin, Italy, for an unforgettable week of creativity and innovation. From October 14-19, 2024, the conference will take place at the cutting-edge OGR venue, along with other iconic spots around the city. The event promises to bring together the brightest minds in animation, VFX, games, filmmaking, and AI for a series of talks, workshops, and panels designed to inspire and ignite new ideas.

Conference director Dr. Maria Elena Gutierrez couldn't be prouder of the lineup: “We’ve put together an incredible program for View Conference 2024. It’s an honor to have so many talented people join us to share their knowledge and passion. Above all, View Conference is about community, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone to Italy for this milestone anniversary.”

"Powerhouse Speakers & Exclusive Premieres"

This year’s keynote speakers are truly a star-studded lineup. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Jonathan Nolan, executive producer of Amazon’s Emmy-nominated 'Fallout' , will take the stage alongside Fede Alvarez, director of the highly anticipated *Alien: Romulus*. Kelsey Mann from Pixar and Disney will offer an inside look at 'Inside Out 2', while Chris Sanders will share the journey behind DreamWorks’ upcoming 'The Wild Robot'. The conference will also feature insights from Shannon Tindle, director of Netflix’s *Ultraman: Rising*, and Josh Cooley, director of 'Transformers One'.

There’s even more to get excited about with three exclusive premiere events: Amy Smeed of Disney will present a sneak peek at 'Moana 2'—yes, you’ll get to watch a full quarter of the film a month before it hits theaters! Simon Otto will unveil footage from 'That Christmas', a heartwarming holiday feature from Netflix, and Aardman Animations' Will Becher will give a first look at the upcoming 'Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl'.

''Mind-Blowing VFX & Production Design''

Expect visual effects to dazzle at this year’s conference, with VFX supervisors behind some of 2024’s biggest blockbusters sharing their secrets. Paul Lambert, the genius behind 'Dune: Part Two', and Jay Worth from 'Fallout' will lead presentations, alongside Swen Gillberg (Deadpool), Stefen Fangmeier (3 Body Problem), Florian Witzel (Twisters), and Jason Greenblum (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire). The creative teams from 'The Wild Robot' and 'Transformers One' will also dive into the art of production design and VFX.

Fans of practical effects are in for a treat as creature designer Alec Gillis talks about bringing 'Alien: Romulus' to life, and reflects on his iconic work in 'Starship Troopers' and 'Death Becomes Her'.

''AI & Creativity Take Center Stage''

As AI reshapes the creative industry, View Conference 2024 will explore the technology's growing influence. Nvidia’s Richard Kerris will discuss AI’s impact on production, while VR pioneer Martin Nebelong and Wylie Co. VFX founder Jake Maymudes will share their perspectives on how AI is transforming filmmaking. Panel discussions on creativity and technology convergence will include insights from industry leaders at Wacom and Lenovo, with a special focus on how AI is shaping the future of the arts.

"Workshops, Masterclasses, & Hands-On Creativity"

The workshops this year are nothing short of spectacular. From storytelling with Josh Cooley to Pixar’s RenderMan Art Challenge with Dylan Sisson, participants can expect to dive deep into the craft. Workshops will also focus on practical skills, like AI tools for film production, mixed media art, storyboarding, and even paper sculpture creation for theme parks with Walt Disney Imagineering’s Megan Brain.

Fantasy artist Jesper Ejsing and NFBC’s Eloi Champagne will also offer hands-on sessions, including AI-enhanced creative workflows and real-time animation with Unreal Engine.

"Game Design, Education & Future Talent"

Gaming creatives will take the stage as well, with Nicolas Doucet of Team Asobi leading a talk on 'Astro Bot', and Guerrilla Games’ Jan-Bart van Beek and Supercell’s John Cipriani sharing their insights into the art of game design. The conference will offer a variety of educational panels, portfolio reviews, and mock interviews to help nurture the next generation of creative talent.

In the business realm, the "Let’s Talk Business" panel will bring together top company CEOs, while a session on international co-productions will showcase global collaborations in animation.
