Coffee & TV Names Jason Hayes as 2D Supervisor for Film and TV Division
Creative studio Coffee & TV has welcomed Jason Hayes as the new 2D Supervisor for their film and TV division, marking another exciting step in the company’s rapid expansion. Hayes joins the team following a hugely successful eight months for the division, which has been growing its reputation in the industry.
Jason Hayes brings over 15 years of VFX experience to Coffee & TV, having started his career at MPC and most recently working at Jellyfish Pictures. His impressive portfolio includes major projects such as 'Asteroid City', 'Stranger Things S4' (nominated for Outstanding Special Visual Effects), "The Book of Boba Fett', and 'Gangs of London'. Hayes also served as on-set VFX Supervisor for BBC One's 'This is Going to Hurt' and Sky Atlantic's 'The Baby'.
This appointment follows the earlier additions of Emmy award-winning VFX Producer Clare Cheetham and Executive VFX Supervisor Jonathan Cheetham to the team. Since their arrival in January, Coffee & TV’s film and TV division has worked on high-profile projects like 'Beyond Paradise', 'Ghosts Season 5', and the upcoming 'Your Christmas or Mine 2' for Amazon, where they served as the sole VFX vendor. They've also completed work on major films, including the Academy Award-nominated 'Tár', the Apple TV+ feature 'Tetris', and the BBC series 'Peaky Blinders'.
Reflecting on his new role, Jason Hayes said, “Coffee & TV have struck a perfect balance with their creative atmosphere, cutting-edge technology, and talented team. They’re producing some of the best VFX work in the industry, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
Clare Cheetham, Film and TV VFX Producer at Coffee & TV, is equally enthusiastic about Hayes' arrival. “We’ve admired Jason’s work for a long time, and it’s fantastic to have him on board. Our team’s strength lies in the diversity of talent we can bring to each project, ensuring we build bespoke teams that suit the needs of every production. We’ve got some exciting shows in the pipeline, and Jason’s expertise is a perfect fit for where we’re heading.”
Jason will be based at Coffee & TV’s newly opened 8,000 sq.ft. studio in Farringdon, which also houses their sister company, Residence Pictures, a specialist in picture finishing for high-end films and episodics. Together, the two companies create a seamless workflow for longform VFX projects, reinforcing Coffee & TV’s place as a leader in the industry.
